Some of the reported issues may be emanating from sources such as an external disk, and you might want to make sure you have sufficient read/write access to any external disks that you use. So once I reinstalled the NTFS driver, Lightroom functioned without a problem. When I upgraded to El Capitan, my NTFS driver was not usable for write access to an external disk where I store all of my Lightroom collection. Turned out the problem was something else completely. It just wouldn’t quit even after I hit CMD+Q. When I did so recently there were some Mac OSX software updates and (I think) and Adobe CC update. In fact, don’t switch my laptop on that often. UPDATE: I rolled back to 6.11 and continued to experience instability in Lightroom.
